School and Extracurriculars
Karinna is half way through her first year in kindergarten at Brewer Island Elementary School. She benefits from lots of art projects and field trips. She's also learned how to make new friends, one of whom is her teacher, Mrs. Sakamoto. Teacher and student have forged quite a special relationship. Outside of kindergarten, she takes a drawing class on Mondays, a gymnastics class on Wednesdays and a karate class on Fridays. In the Spring she's excited to start soccer on Saturdays and will likely trade in drawing for piano and gymnastics for swimming.
Jeremy attends Little Lambs Pre-school twice a week. He's making lots of progress learning how to sit still and participate in group activities. His favorite part of school is the free play time. On the weekends, he enjoys dragging Dad and Karinna into the backyard to hit golfballs. His favorite club is the driver and he's not concerned about the direction of the ball so long as he hits it hard. Indoors, Jeremy constantly exercises his imagination by playing with his Thomas the Tank Engine train set, or his lego pirate ships.
