Are you asleep? ... yes
We've recently discovered that our kids have radically different sleeping habits. Karinna has difficulty going to bed by herself, but once she dozes off, she sleeps soundly. Jeremy, on the other hand, is easy to put down. For the longest time, we assumed he went to sleep immediately after we put him down. However, as Teresa recently discovered, Jeremy tends to lay in bed awake for long periods.
We found out because Teresa thought she heard some noise in his room a couple hours after bedtime. She went in and looked at him lying down in his crib, in the dark. His body was very straight and his breathing was silent. When he sleeps, his body is usually hunched over and he has a sort-of baby snore.
Teresa whispered, "Jeremy, are you asleep?"
"... Yes.."
