Evangelizing the First Grade
It's been eye-opening seeing how uninhibited Karinna is about sharing her faith. She knows nothing about political correctness, or ecumenicalism. Her innocense works to amplify the sincerity with which she shares about Christ. Her zeal and enthusiasm in evangelism has put us to shame. So far, she has shared her faith with her grandparents, teachers, friends and classmates. Several weeks ago she went around to her classmates asking them if they believed in Jesus. She found some believers and then brought them along as she asked others. Inevitably, she found someone who was not a Christian, at which point she very bluntly spelled out the consequences of being unsaved. When the girl still did not convert, Karinna refused to let her go until finally the girl ran off sobbing (yikes!). We sort of expected to hear from the principal's office about the incident as her school is not very tolerant of Christianity. Fortunately, we haven't heard anything from the school administrators, but we did have a talk with Karinna about what it means to "speak the truth in love."
