Another Parent/Child Milestone

Parents have always been keen to track milestones like "first word" or "first steps" or even "first day off of diapers." But how about "first emails?"

Karinna has recently been exchanging emails with her teacher from last year. She can't wait to get replies and often tells us that she's "busy checking her email." I wasn't so sure this was a good thing until my current business trip. I am sending this blog post in from Beijing. Unfortunately, I had to miss Karinn's first soccer game of the season. But she emailed me (!) and gave me a wrapup of the game. During my trip I think I will be able to keep in touch with her via my blackberry...

I must admit, I am still trying to get used to the idea that my communication with my little girl has already evolved to include email. They grow up too fast.
