2005 Christmas Newsletter V2.0

NOTE: We rewrote the previous draft by leaving the original intro and ending, while replacing the middle section with the summary below... if you have a preference, let us know which draft you prefer. We couldn't decide as we stuffed our Christmas cards this year, so we used both.

Winter

• Karinna forges a special relationship with her Kindergarten teacher.
• Jeremy’s loyalties switch from his Thomas the Tank Engine train set over to lego pirate ships.
• Teresa plays the perfect host to Ivan’s dad on frequent visits from Santa Barbara to see the grandchildren.
• Informatica’s CEO asks Ivan to head up Product Marketing.

Spring

• Karinna continues her Karate and adds Spring AYSO soccer to the list of extracurriculars.
• Jeremy starts T-ball and shows potential to be the next Barry Bonds – he stops to admire his hits and forgets to run the bases.
• Teresa completes a wave of home redecorating projects, including repainting three bedrooms, and ordering new furniture for the family room and master bedroom.
• Ivan quickly piles-up frequent flyer miles in his new role at work.

Summer

• Karinna completes Kindergarten and is really sad to leave her favorite teacher.
• Jeremy starts attending a second pre-school.
• Teresa and Ivan take the family to Disneyland twice in order to take in the 50th anniversary activities.

Fall

• Karinna starts first grade and also enrolls in Fall soccer and piano lessons.
• Jeremy starts going to the mini-golf course regularly to develop his putting.
• Teresa starts hosting “Mom’s In Touch”, a prayer group for mothers while their kids are in school.
• Ivan marks the one year anniversary of the passing of his mom.
