Cat's In the Cradle Moment

Have any of you parents ever had a sudden realization that your kids are turning out just like you? A number of families at our church are meeting regularly to go through a parenting study by Chip Ingram. One of the main points he makes is that for better or worse, your kids will turn out just like you. It's one thing to understand this at an academic level. But there are also these unexpected moments where suddenly you see something in your child that is so remarkably similar to you, it's actually quite scary.

The picture shown here is not Jeremy. This picture was taken of me (years ago) in my kindergarten class. My father keeps this picture in his home and I've seen it many times. But the last time I looked at the picture, it suddenly struck me that my son was growing up just like me (anyone familiar with the Johnny Cash ballad Cat's in the Cradle?).
