Update on Home Redecorating
Ever since we decided on some furniture, we've been motivated to complete the rest of the redecorating. The furniture should arrive within two weeks, so there was a hard deadline to drive progress.
First we selected some paint and got some bids from painting contractors. Then, a friend recommended a color coordinator to come by and review paint selection. After her consultation, we decided on a palette that covered baseboard trim, accents, hallway, brick and drywall -- five colors in all. They are all similar (varying shades of champaign gold) with the exception of the cherryish terracotta used as the accent.
Oh yeah, and lest we forget, we ordered a TV to go with the furniture. It was on backorder due to the pre-superbowl demand. We used the delay to negotiate a discount on the price (even though we actually preferred to get it later when the furniture was to arrive).
