Necessity, the Mother of Invention

Tired of the 5 hour road trips separating our family and Ye-ye's Santa Barbara home, the kids started up a dinner discussion on the practical aspects of quantum physics.

Karinna: We need a special tunnel that you can crawl into from our house and the other side is Ye-ye's house, but it doesn't take long at all to go through the tunnel.

Ye-ye: You mean a worm hole? (NOTE: Ye-ye watched a lot of Star Trek...)

Karinna: No, not a worm hole -- that would be too small. We mean a people tunnel in the ground.

Jeremy: Yeah, except it should be a slide so you can just ride down it, and it would take just one minute to go from our house to Ye-ye's place. When I grow up, I'm going to build one.
