MIT
No, we're not talking about my alma mater. Teresa's been hosting a group called Mom's In Touch (MIT) this school year at our house. Every week, a group of mothers from Karinna's elementary school meet to pray specifically for our children and their teachers. Teresa really enjoys these prayer meetings. We often talk about the state of public education today -- the secular humanist agenda on school curriculum, school policies to deal with the everpresent threat of child predators, the pressures of administrative politics on the faculty, etc. As a parent, it's easy to feel helpless with regard to your child's welfare while they are at school. Teresa has really made a huge effort to volunteer at school in order to proactively participate in our children's education. Short of homeschooling, she's doing pretty much everything she can. Even so, with all the issues surrounding public education, our best recourse is to pray.
